Carib Creation Legend
   This now extinct tribe of the Antilles had a myth that after the Deluge the founder of the race created mankind by sowing stones in the soil from which sprang men and women. Their earth mother goddess was called Mama Nono.
   A Creation Legend of the Bakairi Caribs is given under Tupuya and Ges Creation Legends, dealing with the adventures of their culture hero Kamu. Another Carib Creation Legend whose heroine is Korobona is given under Arawak Creation Legends.
